The world-leading free platform for online psychological learning used in thousands of publications
What is PsyToolkit?
PsyToolkit is an open-access platform with:
-
lessons about psychology
-
focus on:
-
Cognitive experiments
-
Scales, especially those used in personality and clinical research
-
How can PsyToolkit help GSCE or A-level psychology teaching
-
PsyToolkit can support GCSE and A-level psychology teaching by helping students experience psychological research directly, rather than only reading about it.
-
Teachers can use ready-made online experiments and questionnaires to demonstrate key topics such as memory, attention, reaction time, personality, social cognition and research methods.
-
Students can take part in short tasks, collect class data, and then discuss or analyse the results, making concepts such as variables, reliability, validity, experimental control and individual differences much more concrete.
-
PsyToolkit is especially useful for developing research-methods skills. It allows students to see how psychological experiments are designed, how data are collected, and how results can be interpreted.
-
For A-level students, it can also support independent project work, practical demonstrations and preparation for university-level psychology. Because it runs online, it can be used in class, for homework, or for blended learning.
