About this survey
PERSONALITY TRAITS AND MUSIC ENJOYMENT SURVEY
This is an informal survey to collect preliminary data for a potential study on the personality traits of people who enjoy music that expresses negative emotions.
It is comprised of 56 short questions and should take less than 15 minutes to complete. Please take the time to answer honestly and accurately.
You may feel that either your music preferences or you personality has changed over time. If this is the case, pick a timeframe (e.g. the last year), and use the same timeframe for both music preference and personality questions.
You will receive your scores at the end with minimal additional information, although I will provide sources for further reading.
You will receive an option to enter an email address where I can send you the results of this survery, likely in 1-2 months. I will only send one or two emails and offer an option to unsubscribe.
As this survey is informal, I am not disclosing my identity or institutional affiliation.
