Research Study: Will pink and white noise have the same effect on cognitive performance? Comparing teens with lower and higher executive functioning.
A brief description of the research study, and what participation involves:
The research investigates if the use of different background noise; pink noise and white noise improves attention and learning outcomes by masking distracting background noises compared to students performance in a regular learning environment. The participant will take a 9 item questionnaire and three tests/games while either in a regular learning environment or while listening to either pink or white noise. The research should take about 15 minutes. If you received this survey you will be taking the test in a regular learning environment.
The research aims to help improve students learning experience and attainment by ascertaining how different noises affect learning outcomes.
