Attending mindfully: A psychophysiology study of sensory processing in meditators
This Survey is a part of the above research project jointly conducted by Prof. Veena Kumari (Lead Investigator in UK), Director, Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience, Brunel University London and Prof. Rakesh Pandey (Principal Investigator in India), Banaras Hindu University, India.

You are invited to participate in this international collaborative research study between Banaras Hindu University Varanasi, India and Brunel University London, London, UK. This study has been reviewed and approved by the College of Health and Life Sciences Research Ethics Committee, Brunel University London, London UK and the Ethics Committee, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
आपको इस अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शोधकार्य (रिसर्च) में भाग लेने के लिए आमंत्रित किया जा रहा है जो कि काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय वाराणसी (भारत) और ब्रूनेल विश्वविद्यालय लंदन, लंदन (यूके) के बीच परस्पर सहयोग से किया जा रहा है। कॉलेज ऑफ हेल्थ एंड लाइफ साइंसेज रिसर्च एथिक्स कमिटी, ब्रूनेल विश्वविद्यालय लंदन, लंदन यूके और आचार समिति, चिकित्सा विज्ञान संस्थान, काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय, वाराणसी, भारत द्वारा इस शोधकार्य (रिसर्च) की समीक्षा के बाद इसे किये जाने की स्वीकृति प्रदान की गई है।
You are about to complete a questionnaire investigating how you perceive and react to your environment, emotions and bodily sensations, and how mindfulness meditation may affect these processes. The questionnaire consists of some general questions about your background, household circumstances, general well-being and how you feel at the moment. It will take around 40 minutes of your time. The data is being collected from the healthy general population in between the ages 18 and 60 years.
आप एक प्रश्नावली भरने वाले हैं जिसका उद्देश्य यह जांचना है कि आप अपने वातावरण, भावनाओं और शारीरिक संवेदनाओं के प्रति कैसी प्रतिक्रिया देते हैं, और इन प्रक्रियाओं को माइंडफुलनेस ध्यान कैसे प्रभावित कर सकता है। इस प्रश्नावली में आपकी पृष्ठभूमि (जैसे, आयु, लिंग, भाषा, इत्यादि), घरेलू या पारिवारिक परिस्थितियों, सामान्य स्वास्थ्य एवं खुशहाली, और आपके इस समय के अनुभव से सम्बंधित कुछ सामान्य प्रश्न हैं। इसमें आपका लगभग 40 मिनट समय लगेगा। इस अध्ययन में 18 से 60 वर्ष के स्वस्थ आम नागरिकों से आंकड़े एकत्र किए जा रहे हैं।
The participation is completely voluntary. If you decide to take part, you are still free to withdraw at any time up until you finish the study by simply stopping the questionnaire. It is not possible to withdraw your data once it has been anonymised as we cannot identify your data.
इस अध्ययन में आपकी सहभागिता पूर्णतः स्वैच्छिक है। यदि आप इस अध्ययन में भाग लेने का निर्णय लेते हैं, तब भी आप उत्तर देना बन्द कर के किसी भी समय अपनी प्रतिभागिता वापस लेने के लिए स्वतंत्र हैं, जब तक कि आपने अध्ययन पूरा न कर लिया हो। आपके द्वारा दी गयी जानकारी से आपकी पहचान को अलग कर दिए जाने के बाद आपके लिए स्वयं को अध्ययन से अलग कर पाना संभव नहीं होगा क्योंकि हम आपके आंकड़ों की पहचान नहीं कर पाएंगे।
All information which is collected about you during the course of the research will be kept strictly confidential. No identifying information will be retained following testing. The research data will be coded (for anonymity) and then analysed by the researcher(s) before being reported. The anonymised data will be used primarily for scientific research they maybe reported at a conference or in a scientific journal and may also be used for a Ph.D. dissertation/Postgraduate final year project. The anonymised research data may also be shared with other researchers for further analysis, but at no point will any uniquely identifiable data be shared. If you take part in this research, you can obtain a copy of the publication by contacting the researcher.
इस शोध के दौरान आपके विषय में प्राप्त की गयी सभी जानकारियाँ अत्यंत गोपनीय रखी जाएँगी। परीक्षण पूरा करने के बाद आपकी पहचान-सम्बन्धी कोई भी जानकारी नहीं रखी जाएगी। इस शोध में प्राप्त शोध आंकड़ों की पहचान को गोपनीय रखने के लिए उसे गुप्त आंकिक नाम दे दिया जाएगा और उस पर आधारित शोध विवरण प्रस्तुत करने से पहले शोधकर्ता/शोधकर्ताओं द्वारा उसका विश्लेषण किया जाएगा। इन नाम या पहचान रहित आंकड़ों का उपयोग मुख्य रूप से वैज्ञानिक शोध के लिए किया जायेगा और उनका विवरण किसी शोध-सम्मलेन या वैज्ञानिक शोध-पत्रिका में प्रस्तुत किया जा सकता है और साथ ही इसका उपयोग किसी पीएच.डी. शोध-प्रबंध/परास्नातक स्तर के अंतिम वर्ष के शोध परियोजना के लिए भी किया जा सकता है। इन नाम या पहचान रहित आंकड़ों का अधिक विस्तार से विश्लेषण करने के लिए इन्हें दूसरे शोधकर्ताओं से भी साझा किया जा सकता है, परन्तु किसी भी समय विशिष्ठ पहचान-सम्बन्धी कोई भी जानकारी साझा नहीं की जाएगी। यदि आप इस शोध में भाग लेते/लेती हैं तो आप इस शोध से सम्बंधित प्रकाशन की प्रति शोधकर्ता से संपर्क कर के प्राप्त कर सकते/सकती हैं।
