About this survey
The purpose of the study:
To gain a better understanding of the perception of emotions in spoken language.
This section of the study consists of two parts. In the first part, you will be asked to answer a few demographic questions. In the second part, you will be asked to listen to recorded utterances and rate how much you agree that the speaker conveys a predefined emotion.
Completing this section of the study should take around 20-30 minutes.
Many volunteers choose to participate in research without compensation. If told otherwise by the experimenter, you will be compensated accordingly at the end of your participation.
The data to be collected in the study will be marked with numerical code and stored without any means of identification.
A table with basic details of the participants in order to provide compensation for participating in the experiment will be kept separately.
We would like to emphasize that we are not interested in the results of an individual, rather we analyze the results of the entire experimental sample.
Participation in the experiment is voluntary. You can refuse to participate in the experiment right now if you wish. You can also stop your experiment at any time. By clicking the continue button you are expressing your consent to participate in the study.
